Stocking Stuffer.
I’ve come across these fantastically hand painted prints on nylons by Marchesa a number of times since they hit the runway a few weeks ago. The detailing is just breathtaking, I can’t imagine the amount of pain those nimble fingers must have been subjected to during the process of painting and bejeweling the stockings. Thinking back, Karl Lagerfeld also incorporated temporary tattoos in Chanel’s 2010 Spring collection, and by the looks of it, tattoos have heavily influenced designers from all ends of the fashion spectrum (Rodarte and Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2010 collections) this season!

I found these cheaper alternatives from Post’s on Etsy; although they aren’t anywhere near as glamorously extravagant as Marchesa’s show-stopping nylons, they aren’t half bad! With a couple rhinestones and some glue-gun action, we’ve got some serious potential here people! Considering the price tags for these are between $13 - $18, I might give these a go and see what I can do to spice ‘em up!

Until next time,
