To and Fro, Stop and Go (Part I)

It’s been a extraordinary past three weeks since I’ve last made a post! I think the easiest way to cover the highlights of my adventure to The Alter and back, is breaking the events up into separate posts.

As I had mentioned before, the weeks leading up to the wedding had taken a huge toll on me, which I assume is to be expected when you’re juggling your jobs, school, travel plans, family and wedding plans all at once. It’s like a monstrous 100ft rogue wave of last minute “must-do’s” that comes out of nowhere in an effort to sabotage your glorifying “I do” moment. This was definitely a one-time-deal for me… I don’t know how those women handle getting married more than once. Can I get an Amen?!

Prior to leaving for Taipei, a few of my girlfriends took it upon themselves take me away from all chaos for a night of complete bliss at Mesa. Nothing but girls, Raspberry Bellinis, great food, orgasmic dessert and a shocking game of “I’ve never”. The four of us couldn’t have had a better time and I’d like to thank them again for saving my sanity!

Sarah got an “A” for effort in an attempt to get herself into this shot - while taking the picture.

Best Raspberry Bellinis EVER!

You know your friends love you when they get you

A McDonald’s Arch card (>(oo)<)

And enough lingerie to open your own VS branch.

Structured-corset, H&M; Jeans, Diesel (DIY studs); Pearl ring, F21.

I never understood my lady friends who insisted on having a “Girls Night Out” once a week but I think I do now. It’s actually quite therapeutic - it was great getting away from our men, our work problems and personal frustrations in exchange for a night of some healthy gossip, cocktails and laughs.

Until next time,

VICTORY OR DEATH

Yours,

Julia Vaughn
