So I hope that everyone’s just as impressed with the updated website and the new Spring 2008 line as I am. It was fucking crazy there for a few weeks but it looks like all that hard work paid off. Thanks again to the 530medialab team; you guys are the fucking shit!
Since I don’t have an interview to post for you guys (every two/three weeks, by the way), I thought I’d share what I’ve been thinking about lately. One of my goals while writing on here is to get you guys more involved with the brand… without having to be too committed. I know, it sounds crazy - why would I care about you guys OR what you think, right? I really don’t know - it might be because I’m writing emails back and forth with you guys as customer service for the past two years and I’ve somehow managed to create a soft spot for you. MAYBE, who knows.
I have what I call “The Executioners’ Block” and it’s basically a cloud of grey-area “ideas”; some of which were brought forth from the guys at the office and the crazy-off-the-wall ideas… are yours truly. The Executioners’ Block is very similar to what we call Writer’s Block, only ideas aren’t executed and it looks like we’ve hit another dead end. The only way to make these ideas happen is with your help. I’ve got three ideas that we’ve (WE on the first one anyway, both the second and third are just as new to them as they are to you) been doing some thinking about and I’d like to hear what you guys think:

IDEA #1 “Oldies but Goldies”
WHAT IF, we had a section on this website that gave you a chance to vote for a design that you would like to see brought back? Stoked, yet?

IDEA #2 “De-face of the week/month”
WHAT IF, you’re broke (you’re not the only one) and can’t afford a shirt on here that you would love to have on your back right now and all you had to do was get creative enough with the stencils that the guys’ have provided on here, send a picture as proof and win a weekly/monthly competition? Creatively defacing something or someone for a free t-shirt, possibly a t-shirt of your choice? Yes? No? Maybe?

IDEA #3 “Executioner’s Block”
WHAT IF, you guys had all these ideas that you think would work with what we’ve got going on and would like to have them thrown into our mix? Basically, this would give you guys a chance to pick/choose what ideas get executed and put into action. Ideas can be collection themes, competitions, events, WHATEVER.

WHAT IF, you guys email me (julia@triumvir3.com) and tell me what you think about these ideas?

Before I tear my dry and itchy eyeballs out of my aching head and pry myself away from my kitchen counter and laptop screen, I’d like to tell you guys that we’re still open for internship inquiries and I am looking for an assistant administrator. No previous experience is required but it doesn’t hurt, you do need organization skills so if you’re a sloppy mess - don’t waste your time, let alone mine (don’t apply if you’re in it for the free gear, either). So, if you have some spare time during the week, live locally… or semi-locally, don’t mind working under a neat-freak bitch like me… then fax me your resume, mission statement and a schedule of what your week looks like. C’mon guys, get off your ass so I can sit on mine for a change!
