Here I am again at Taipei’s Xi Men Ding district also known as Taiwan’s little Harajuku. Though I’ve never been to Japan’s shopping districts yet, I’ve been coming to Xi Men Ding since I was about 13 years old. I have a bad shopping habit that I inherited from my mom years ago when I used to sit and wait for her in the dressing rooms, coincidentally I also grew a foot fetish from looking at all the women’s heels. It’s a ritual for me to come here however my purpose has changed to scouting for nice Japanese imported action figures, MOOKs, and the ever changing fashion scene of this small asian island taking its influences from the USA, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.

My main purpose was to visit Van Ness who was on location shooting his next movie. We only get to see each other about once a year now, before it was hard to get this guy to stop hanging out… haha… The older you get the more responsibilities and priorities in life you have to manage. Apparently Van’s also shooting a t.v. drama that’s been ranked number one in Taiwan. Good for you, I’m really proud of you.

Geof, Van’s younger brother that I used to and still like to pick on. He actually worked in the Triumvir warehouse over the summer because I told him he had to work for his gear. At Triumvir it’s rare that we give freebies to people, so if you’re a friend and would like to own something you can do the same as us… work for it or pay up…

By this time I was sitting with Jon Vaughn waiting for the shopaholic to reappear through the crowd.

Jon Vaughn, I’m sure some of you guys remember Richard & Julia’s younger brother that used to work at Triumvir. He’s now back in Taiwan doing foreign exchange trading. But he’s still dancing everywhere in public.

I’m always intrigued by how well this generation dresses themselves when they go out. I have nice clothes but yet still look like a bum when out in public. This is something I will have to work on and accomplish.
